The genesis of Amwaj AI ESG began not in a boardroom, but in the trenches of environmental protection, fueled by a clear vision for a more sustainable and ethically compliant future. In 2022, while serving as an Environmental Quality Investigator at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (Houston, Texas), our founder, alongside co-founder, Jomar, recognized a critical void in the market.
They observed the accelerating global demand for robust Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) solutions, yet a profound scarcity of sophisticated, AI-driven tools, particularly those tailored to the unique ethical framework of framework of GCC ESG compliance. This gap was acutely felt in the rapidly developing Middle East, where economic diversification and sustainable growth were paramount, yet the infrastructure for transparent ESG reporting remained nascent.
Driven by this insight, the foundational concept for Amwaj – an AI ESG platform designed to revolutionize compliant reporting – was born. The early days were marked by fervent discussions and a shared conviction that technology could bridge this critical divide.
